Return and Exchange
EXCHANGE
At The Design Closets, we aim to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase. If you've selected the wrong size, you may request an exchange under the following conditions:
• Kindly email us at hello@thedesignclosets.com to request an exchange within 7 calendar days from the dispatch date for local orders, or 21 calendar days for international orders. No exceptions will be made.
• Upon approval, you will receive an email with exchange details. Your return must reach us within 5 days from the date of our confirmation email. Returns received after this period will be denied.
• Do not return any items without receiving prior confirmation from us. Returns without a confirmation email will be rejected without exception.
• Exchanges are applicable to regular-priced items only. This excludes orders made with promotional/discount codes, store credit, sale items, intimates, swimwear, accessories, and bags.
• Exchanges are subject to stock availability of the requested size.
• Design changes are not allowed—only size exchanges for the same item are permitted.
• Items must be returned unworn, unwashed, and in brand new condition, with original tags and packaging intact.
• All exchanges at our warehouse (Location: T-space)
• All items will be inspected upon return. We reserve the right to reject exchanges if the returned items do not meet our return criteria (e.g., if they are worn, washed, or altered).
INCORRECT / DEFECTIVE ITEMS
We sincerely apologize for sending you an incorrect or defective item.
• Please email us at hello@thedesignclosets.com to request an exchange within 7 calendar days from the dispatch date for local orders, or 21 calendar days for international orders. No exceptions will be made.
• Your email should include clear images of the item, specifically highlighting the defective area if applicable.
• Confirmation from us is required prior to returning your order.
• Returns without a confirmation email will be rejected without exception.
• Items must be in brand new condition, with original tags and packaging intact, and must be unworn, unwashed, and unaltered.
• Shipping fees incurred to return the item to us will be reimbursed.
• Exchanges will be made for the same item in the same design only.
• If the original item is out of stock, we will issue you store credit instead.
• Please note:
- A variation of 0.5"–0.75" in measurements may occur due to mass production.
- Print placements may vary unless otherwise stated.
- Colors may differ slightly due to individual screen calibrations. We strive to represent all colors as accurately as possible.
- Minor imperfections (e.g., loose threads, small dots, etc.) that do not affect the item's overall appearance are not considered defects.
• If the above conditions are not met, The Design Closets reserves the right to reject your return. In such cases, shipping fees will apply for the return of the item to you.
• If, upon assessment, the issue is determined not to be a manufacturing defect, we reserve the right to decline the return and reimbursement of shipping fees.
• Cash refunds will not be provided.
RETURN FOR CREDIT
• Kindly email us at hello@thedesignclosets.com to request a return within 7 calendar days from the dispatch date for local orders, or 21 calendar days for international orders. No exceptions will be made.
• Please obtain our confirmation before returning your order.
• Returns without prior confirmation will be rejected without exception.
• Cash refunds are not provided for returns.
• Customers found to be misusing the return policy will have their return requests rejected without exception.
• Returns are applicable to regular-priced items only. This excludes orders made with promotional/discount codes, store credits, sale items, intimates, swimwear, accessories, and bags.
• Delivery fees are non-refundable.
• If the order value becomes S$0 after the return, the initial delivery fee (S$4.50) will be deducted from the store credit issued.
• All returned items will be inspected upon receipt. We reserve the right to reject any returns that do not meet our return criteria (e.g. items that are washed, worn, or altered).
• Further information will be provided in the confirmation email.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PROCESS?
Your return parcel will be processed within 15 business days upon receiving it. You will receive an email update once your return has been processed.
